Held at Borstahusens Segelsällskap in Sweden, the 2018 Moth European Championships was hotly contested and ultimately, gave David Hivey his first ever major Championship win! You can see pictures and video from the event here!
The sailing conditions were near-perfect with tricky, choppy conditions in the beginning, the weather soon calmed a bit, with the second half of the regatta being held in lighter winds and flatter water. Unfortunately, seaweed made racing difficult for some, but sailing is a sport of challenges!
Despite the long walk from the rigging area out to deep water, sailors relished the opportunity to race these high performance foiling machines against each other, and also enjoy themselves off the water with the excellent social environment that only sailors can produce!
